What are Peppol and UBL?
Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 is the European standard for structured e-invoices, expressed as a UBL (XML) file that other systems and tax authorities can read automatically — not a PDF. Plugkit builds that file from your WooCommerce order.
Does the free version send the invoice?
No — the free version generates, validates and lets you download the file. Sending over the Peppol network is a Pro feature, with Plugkit's engine acting as the Access Point so you don't need one.
Is the invoice legally valid?
The file follows Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 (EN 16931) and is validated before download. Whether e-invoicing is mandatory for you depends on your country and buyer — the format is the one EU rules are moving toward.
Does customer data leave my shop?
The invoice is built on your server. Free sends nothing. With Pro, only the one invoice you approve is transmitted over Peppol; your customer database never leaves.
Do I need a Plugkit account?
